If your eyes constantly feel burning, red, gritty, or watery for no reason, you are not alone—and you are not stuck. Dealing with persistent dryness, light sensitivity, or blurry vision can make everyday tasks and wearing contact lenses incredibly frustrating.
Most people try over-the-counter eye drops or compresses only to get temporary relief at best. That ongoing discomfort usually isn't because you chose the wrong treatment, but because the true root cause of your dry eye was never clearly identified.
A Common Cause OF DRY EYE
For many patients, dry eye isn’t about a lack of tears. It’s about poor tear quality—specifically a condition called Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD).
These oil glands in your eyelids are responsible for keeping your tears stable. When they’re not working properly, tears evaporate too quickly, and symptoms begin. The challenge is that MGD often develops slowly, and without proper imaging, it is easy to miss. It is a progressive condition; however, we can now intervene to slow or reverse progression in most cases.
Why a Dry Eye Consultation Matters
Instead of guessing, we can now take a closer look. During your consultation, thanks to new cutting edge technology we have invested in for our Dry Eye Center, we can now see the severity of Meibomian Gland Dysfunction progression.
During your consultation, we:
Image the oil glands in your eyelids and compare them to a reference scale.
Evaluate for signs of gland loss or progression.
Assess tear quality and stability.
Identify the specific type, or combination, of dry eye you have.
From there, we build a treatment plan that actually matches what’s going on. Because not all dry eye is the same, treatment shouldn't be either.
Customized treatments with proven results.
For patients with Meibomian Gland Dysfunction or more advanced dry eye, we offer in-office treatments designed to go beyond what drops and home care can do. Think of these treatments like the difference between brushing your teeth at home and getting a professional cleaning—both matter, but one goes much deeper.
We are proud to offer Envision by Inmode, a ground-breaking, nonsurgical device that deploys multiple advanced technologies to deliver precision relief right where you need it.
Non-Invasive, Pain Free Treatments
If you are wondering what to expect, these treatment is completely non-invasive with no recovery period or downtime, and any mild skin redness typically clears up within a few hours. This advanced care is designed to provide long-lasting relief, allowing our team to evaluate if you can safely shift to an as-needed eye drop routine rather than relying on regular daily use. While individuals with more severe cases may require a single maintenance session once a year, most people enjoy a highly successful outcome and won't need another treatment for a very long time.

OPTION 1
COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT (Envision RF & IPL)
Forma-I Radiofrequency (RF): This innovative technology uses bipolar radiofrequency to gently heat and restore gland function. It feels like a warm massage around the eyes, improving blood circulation and opening up clogged meibomian glands to improve your natural tear production.
Lumecca-I Intense Pulsed Light (IPL): IPL works to safely control the inflammatory process and stop the vicious cycle of dry eye symptoms. It treats inflammation, ocular rosacea, and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction while naturally decreasing bacteria and demodex around the eyelids.
The Protocol: A series of 4 RF/IPL treatments, spaced about 4 weeks apart, provides lasting results. This helps your eyes produce their own high-quality tears, putting your dry eye into remission and drastically reducing your dependence on eye drops.
✨ A Highly Popular Side Benefit: Younger-Looking Eyes: While your eyes are getting deep, therapeutic relief, your skin gets a major upgrade, too. Because both RF and IPL technologies safely stimulate natural collagen production, they pull double duty by reversing visible signs of aging. As a built-in side benefit, this treatment actively tightens fine lines, smooths out wrinkles, and eliminates dark spots around the delicate eye area (Full Face IPL available). In fact, this aesthetic refresh is so noticeable that we have many clients who routinely return to our center just for the skin-rejuvenating benefits!
OPTION 2
TARGETED MAITENENCE (MGRx Thermal Heat Expressions)
For patients seeking targeted maintenance, we use the MGRx device to perform thermal heat expressions that flush hardened oils and unblock the glands.
The Protocol: This involves 3 treatments performed about 2 weeks apart. While we have successfully used this treatment for 15 years to provide excellent relief, it does not reform glands or offer the same collagen-stimulating skin benefits as Option 1, meaning most people will need quick maintenance touch-ups every 2 to 6 months.
Dr. Eric Lee
“For years I have used a combination of daily drops, gels, ointments, hot compress & plugs searching for relief. After one session of radio frequency and IPL treatment, I have experienced weeks of sustained improvement unlike anything I've tried before. I highly recommend these treatments if you are suffering with dry eyes.”
David T.
“My dry eye symptoms were making it impossible to comfortably wear contact lenses. The Envision treatments felt like a relaxing, warm massage around my eyes while quickly knocking out the inflammation. Not only is my dry eye completely in remission, but the cosmetic bonus is amazing—it noticeably tightened the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes. I will definitely keep coming back just for the skin-rejuvenating benefits!”

Not at all! Most patients find the treatments to be very comfortable, and they require no anesthesia or incisions. The Forma-I radiofrequency treatment feels like a warm, relaxing massage around your eye area. During the Lumecca-I IPL treatment, you will see a bright flash of light and feel a quick sensation that feels like a light snap from an elastic band.

None. There is absolutely no recovery period or downtime associated with these procedures, so you can return to your normal daily routine immediately. It is completely normal to experience slight redness or a warming sensation in the skin afterward, but this typically resolves within an hour or two

For our premier RF/IPL protocol, we typically recommend a series of 4 treatments spaced approximately 4 weeks apart to achieve long-lasting results. If you choose the MGRx option, it requires 3 treatments spaced about 2 weeks apart. Your provider will customize the exact frequency and number of sessions to perfectly match your individual eye health and condition.

IPL is not safe for darker skin tones it can affect pigment, whereas RF is safe on all skin tones.

For patients whose dry eye is primarily driven by moisture evaporation (MGD), this technology has a 100% success rate in clearing the glands. If your dry eye is also influenced by secondary factors like medication side effects or systemic inflammation, we will address those as well, but the thermal heat expression will almost always remain a core foundation of your custom plan.
